My board at it’s current state. I plan on getting new wheels, trucks, and doing some cool grip take stuff on top.
Last night I was watching some videos on how to make your own shortboard when I stumbled on a video about how to reuse your old broken boards. It just so happens that I had my old ‘ran over by a truck’ board and its hardware. Inspired by that vid I took a hand saw and cut the shattered 7 inches into a curve on the nose, then took a power-sander and smoothed up the nose job. Pictured above is the result “TheMino”. My once 42in pintail has now been brought back to life as a 35in “Mino”. I plan on buying a new wide truck for the front to remove the remaining lip bite, not to mention a set of much needed new wheels. Pretty darn happy with myself right now.
